Policy for Using Library
  1. During the opening hours of National Chiao Tung University Library (hereinafter the library), users shall enter the library with valid ID. The entry of the library is stipulated in “Regulation for the Entry of National Chiao Tung University Library”.
  2. The opening hours of the library are: 8am to 10:30pm from Sunday to Friday; 8am to 5pm on Saturday. Opening hours for winter and summer vacations will be stipulated separately; the library shall change the opening hours with a prior notice if any special situation occurs.
  3. The library manages books on open access. Users can have the access to books freely and return them to original places afterward; books with closed-access management should be obtained via the application based on related regulations of the library.
  4. Users should take good care of books, magazines and newspapers of the library without producing any cut, stains or damage, or they should be held responsible for compensation.
  5. Users should maintain the quality of reading environment in the library. No food or beverages are allowed to bring in the library, and noisy or other manners affecting other readers should be strictly forbidden.
  6. Computers in the library should be used for searching book materials only instead of other purposes. Users should use computers or the internet in accordance with “Regulation for the Use of Public Computers, National Chiao Tung University Library”.
  7. Please abide by every regulation of the library while reading. Violators shall be handled based on “Rules for Reader Violations, National Chiao Tung University”
  8. Users should use information in the library based on related regulation of intellectual property rights. Users should hold legal obligations independently if any breach occurs.
  9. The regulation is announced and implemented after being passed by Executive Council, and the revision is announced and implemented after being passed by Library Advisory Committee Council.
