Users' Guide on Accessing Library Databases (off-campus)

All NCTU faculty members and students can enjoy 24/7 access to the library's electronic resources.

NCTU Library provides a new authentication mechanism that combines your library account with the proxy settings on your computer. All registered individuals (NCTU students and faculty members) can now utilize all the electronic resources (excluding the Flylink database) that the library subscribes to at home.

This service is provided exclusively to the registered NCTU students and faculty members. Due to the conditions of the contract, the following individuals cannot access the Library's electronic resources from off-campus locations.
1. Patronage Library Card holders
2. Those with library cards NOT issued by the NCTU Library
3. NCTU Alumni
4. Hsinchu City Library card holders
5. Non-degree program students

Off-campus access to online databases, e-journals and Citation Linker requires the use of EZproxy. When you click on the database or other service a pop-up dialog will ask for your ID and password (see below). Simply enter the necessary information.
